What can I expect in the first session when I see a therapist?

The initial session is typically 60 minutes.

During this time, you and your therapist will get to know each other, talk about goals, needs and what to expect.

You may also engage in a conversation about what your individualized treatment plan will look like moving forward.

Common questions discussed during the initial session include what symptoms you may be experiencing, your history and background information, and future goals.
